Can you hear me Lord?
Can you hear me Lord?
As I cry to you in prayer.
Are you listening?
I need to know you're there.
Are you listening?
Can you hear me?
Are you listening?
As I kneel in humble prayer.
I need strengthening.
I need encouraging.
I need a friend.
When no one else is there.
I can hear you.
I am listening.
I am here.
As you cry to me in prayer.
I will strengthen you.
I'll be here for you.
I'll be your friend.
When no one else is there.

Am I very pretty or not at all?
Mirror mirror on the wall
Please show me my every flaw
Look at yourself from someone else's eyes
You may be in for quite a suprise
You may not be beautiful but you're good at heart
You may feel dumb but you're really very smart

Sping Time
As Korah said, spring is here. The weather has been cool but pleasant.
I'll post some pictures when I can.
It rained today, and the grass turned green. I just love the refreshing rain! It reminded me of the hymn "Showers of Blessing."
http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/t/h/thershow.htm
There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Refrain
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
Refrain
There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
Refrain
Some updates
From: Christian Berdahl
It is Friday and I am looking forward to a restful weekend with my family! I flew in on Tuesday from New Orleans and have trying to catch up on a pile of phone calls and duties here in the office. My dear wife held down the fort pretty well in my absence and for that I am thankful. I went and had all of my lab work done on Wednesday in preparation for my surgery. An earlier date doesn't look like it is going to work out. Thus, I am scheduled for the 21st of March. We will be staying a couple of nights in a hotel in Sacramento after the surgery. Since we live about an hour and a half away from the surgery center it will be best to stay in town if any complications arise after surgery.
We are working hard to get ready for a 3-6 week absence from the office and travel. We are trying to get plenty of rest by turning in earlier each night, drinking lots of water and fresh juices, supplementing and praising the Lord, etc. We will do what we can to prepare my body prior to the surgery so healing will be more rapid.
Pray for my dear wife that has to take care of ME! Honestly, in times past I haven't been the best patient. It is the most difficult thing for me to just sit! I love the work that the Lord has called Me to and to be away from it is to be denied a wonderful joy in my life. Please pray for ME that I glorify the Lord each and every moment of this trial.
I am endeavoring to get a message recorded and sent out to those of you who receive our Message of the Month. The subject matter deals with trials and standing patiently through them.
Thank you for the kind cards, emails and support that you have blessed us with.
Looking onward and upward!
Love,
Christian & Coby
Hello Dear Friends,
We have settled in to our hotel room which is about 4 blocks from the surgery center. My surgery is scheduled for 9:00AM Wednesday morning with a 7:30AM arrival. My mother and step dad will be with Coby while I am under the knife. Our boys are with dear friends until Friday. The Lord has worked everything out so far. Praise God. We are in the Hands of the Lord and we are looking forward to praising Him through this "road bump" in our life.
Thank you for your prayers!
We'll update you as soon as we can. We are having email problems while in another town. So, if you actually got this email its a miracle!

Hello dear friends,
I thought that I would send you a quick update. We just got home a few hours ago from Sacramento and we are looking forward to a quiet Sabbath with our children. Christian is doing very well considering! The first two days were pretty rough and his pain level is quite high still, but we are PRAISING GOD that there are no serious side effects. He has dizziness and is staying as horizontal as possible. When he sits straight up or stands the world begins to spin. When he does need to move we are using a walker to help stabilize him. His right ear and the right side of his tongue are numb, which we are hopeful will go away as his healing progresses. Overall, he is handling things well and has been a very good patient. We are so thankful that so far there are no serious side effects!! Christian just keeps saying over and over again, "Thank you Father, Thank you Father!"
There was more damage in Christian's ear than what Dr. M. had expected. During the 3 hour procedure he drilled and removed a section of the mastoid bone that was as large as a walnut. He then removed all of the other tumor material from the rest of the ear. He said that the tumor had grown all around the facial nerve but that it didn't do any major damage to it! He reconstructed where the balance center had been compromised. He also constructed a new ear drum from a skin graft. Then he flipped Christian's ear back in to place and sewed him up. Two of the three inner hearing bones were completely dissolved. One remains and Dr. M. is hopeful that all the healing will go well and that his ear will be able to hold up through another surgery, this will happen in about 18 months. There does seem to be some level of hearing but we will not know if it will be "useful" hearing or not for several months.
Thank you so much for all of your love, prayers and support! We are truly grateful.
Love,
Coby
Christian is having some complications that started last night. We are heading in to see his doctor early AM tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th. His pain level has been increasing instead of decreasing as it should be along with the drainage from his ear becoming heavier and very red instead of the lighter yellow it is supposed to be at this point. Please pray that all will turn out well. We are very grateful for your love and care.In His Love, Coby
Just a quick note to let you know that things are looking up here for Christian. He is doing much better since the doctor put him on a stronger pain medication. The down side is it makes him very out of it, but he will deal with that since it is at least giving him enough relief that he can sleep. He is still unable to move around much but this is to be expected for a couple of more weeks.Thank you so much for your prayers. God has and is carrying us through!!Sweet blessings to you and have a beautiful Sabbath.In His Love, Coby
Even though the surgery is over he still needs our prayers. This will take a long time to heal. It is a long and painful process. Trust me, ear pain is one of the most painful things to experience, especially since it is one of the most important of the 5 senses. I have had many earaches as a little child and recently, within the past 2 years, ruptured ear drums on both sides. I have been fortunate not to have very drastic results, but I can't wait until heaven, where we will all be given new bodies!
