Great Gentle Gerbils

Our gerbils cages

Remy, age 10 weeks

Ruby, age 6 weeks

We now have 4 gerbils in 3 cages. We just got Remy and Ruby this past week (from different pet stores). Once Ruby is old enough and we put her with Remy we're going to have 2 litters, then separate them again. That way he can have company of his son, and she can have a daughter for company. We'll give the gerbils we can't keep to the pet store we got the boys from, because a lot of people want nice gerbils. I am excited to see what colors they produce. Remy looks just like Ralph and Roo because he's their brother. :) Remy is not tame yet, but we're working on making him friendly by just putting our hands in his cage and letting him climb on us in his cage, without holding him. He is a very energetic and cute little fellow.

The lone bike rider

I went out for a bike ride by myself today. Here are some pictures I took. I used my Sony DSC-S650 with 7.2MP it has 3x optical zoom. I really want to get a Nikon d80 digital camera with a close up lens, it has very nice features. I have saved up my money and I think I'll be able to get it for myself for a "Christmas" present and maybe my parents will chip in a little. I hope you enjoy these pictures even though the black swan is not too clear, and I couldn't get any closer to the white one.
